Back to New York Personal Injury Questions

Video Transcription

There’s one thing that slip and falls, and trip and falls have in common that’s falling and being injured. Now, slip and falls usually have to do with your foot actually slipping on something, whether it be snow and ice or debris on the ground. Trip and falls generally have to do with your foot either, stubbing tripping or, rolling in some particular manner because of a broken, raised mis-leveled floor or sidewalk or, a step that’s higher than the next, when it shouldn’t be. Usually trip and falls are easier to prove in that the defect is generally there for a period of time slip and falls. The defects are usually more transient, whether it be ice, snow, or debris, and they usually change over time.
