Attorney’s fees in a personal injury case are set at one third before the expenses on the case. Once the one third is deducted from the recovery, then we deduct the expenses. Those expenses can be, uh, filing fees, court costs, deposition fees, investigation fees, uh, medical expert fees, witness fees, and trial costs among other things. Generally, fees are only paid if there’s a recovery. If there is no recovery, there is no fee.
